RE: Pushed primer's
sure do have the case filled up pretty well with 60 grains...
do you have a photo of the primers and case after firing to let us see exactly what you are talking about?
i have NEVER had a primer push out or fall out..... i HAVE had primers (particularly in my 280 rem) that are so flat i can see the machining marks on the bolt face and there is no rounded edge.... 57 grains of 7828 is about as far as i can push the 280 with a 175 partition, 2690 through the chrono... all i shoot are CCI BR-2 primers in all of my large rifle centerfires... they are fairly hard... and do a good job and are pretty much always consistant and i see no discernable difference between them and a regular large rifle primer over the chrono or in pressure signs...
ironically... 57.5 grains of reloader 15 and a 225 Nosler BT are the best shooting round i've found for my 35 whelen AI using a CCI BR-2 also... 2550 over the chrono.. not a barn burner but pretty consistant... leaves the primers round on the corner and just begins to flatten out the face... but 59.5 grains gives the same primer look...
i don't play around with reduced loads of slow powder... so i have never had any first hand experience with detonation...
Federal large pistol primers are soft as butter, i do know that... kinda got me a bit concerned in my 45 LC with hunting loads when i first began using them...
