Elk huntingcould be done with it, but it would come at a "price" that I'm guessing you are probably unfamiliar with,it would be kind of anedgysort of project....
My son and I talked about it and it would require:
-- An extra horse,
-- Risk to the asset,
-- Right kind of sniper nest in a high elk traffic zone (gotsome of those)
-- African style shooting sticks
-- Walker Game Ears or Sport Ears
-- Barnes TSX 600 grainers
Would work best with:
-- A second team memberto range and calculate andprovideMOA ballistic inputs
-- A second rifle to provide a viable option for the quicker developing situations (like an elk stampede thruone's position or evenhurried elk under 300 yards)
So, not real likely....
Generally a nice long distance target rifle and something to broaden ones horizons with....
It is good to have options, you?
