Default Working for hunting, part two

A few days ago I made a post about working now for hunting opportunites for next year and hopefully beyond.

Example: this afternoon I paid a landowner I hunt on a visit and since we are having constant rain I knew he most likely would be home. I was right and during our conversation, he mentioned that an old lady who owns land adjoining him and heats her home from one of his gas wells has a gas leak outside her home. This lady also won't let me hunt on her. Here is where I jumped in.............I offered to help as soon as I get off of work(7 am), and he said he could use the help and would pay me. I replied I don't want any money, I just appreciate the opportunity to hunt on your land. Long story short, I am meeting him after I get off work in the morning to help dig up and repair the lady's gas leak. I'll continue our good relationship and quite possibly make inroads on gaining permission to hunt on the lady, or maybe even gain it for the rest of this season.
