Missed Again!! Please Help Me!!
I have been bowhunting for 18 years and I have never had the problem I am now having. I used to have a Pro Line Point Blank with a long axle to axle(36). I recently changed to the Hoyt Cybertec, and although my field practice at distances up to 30 yards is right on - 2 inch groups at 20 yards - I missed my first and second shots with the bow this season. After I missed the second try yesterday, I took a practice shot into a huge birch - this was after the deer were gone, of course - and, at 20 yards the shot was off by 2 feet. I couldn't believe it, so I took a second shot, and the same exact thing happened - my arrow was within inches of my 1st shot. WHAT'S GOING ON????!!! I have racked my brain to figure this out. I even went home and shot, just to make sure, and the bow is right on? I have come to the conclusion that it must be my clothes. I figure the string must be hitting either my jacket sleeve or the chest area of my jacket. Have any of you ever experienced this? Is there maybe a different explanation? I've got to figure this out by the weekend, before my next hunt!
