Question About Shockwave Sabots
I recently purchased a 50 caliber T/C Omega Z5 muzzleloader. It came with the starter kit. In this kit therewere 10 Shockwave sabots but no where on the packaging or in any of the included literature does itlist the grain weight of these sabots. I am certain that they are either 200 or250 as I have seen a 300 grain Hornady SST sabot (Basically the same bullet)and these are not that big. I do not have a grain weight scale. The riflegroups them greatwith two 50 grain 777 pellets so I would like to order more of them but not knowing the proper grain weight has got me held up.Can anybody help a blackpowder newbie like me out here? Also if it turns out that they are only 200 grain would that be too light for use on Alabama whitetails? Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
P.S I think this muzzleloading stuff just might be highly addictive! I had a blast sighting this gun in.
