RE: Arctic Shield Boot Insulators
imho, for 50 bucks plus the price of your current boots you could get a boot and sock system where your feet will be WARM!
There are many tributes to cold feet, start with changing your socks once on stand, wearing something other then cotton or any cotton mixture socks! I prefer polypro or thor lo socks and havent had cold feet down to some serious cold temps. I do however change socks as fast as possible when hitting a calling point, or midway through the day when my feet start getting cold. (dont do much stand hunting up here come dec jan) Poly pro liners are great but make my feet sweat bad!
Does your boot fit properly with those big socks on? Many folks boots are just a hair to tight.
Try looking into a pair of sorels or there equivalent rated to -100 or the armys Bunny Boots (mikey mouse boots). Get the WHITE ones! I wouldnt chance a cheap imitation. Last I have seen you can purchase them for appx 80 bucks. They are a little heavy but your feet will never freeze in them. Even if you dunk your feet in the bunny boots, you'll be ok, dump them out slip your boot back on and go!
There are some other spots to consider, (many over look) Your head is the obvious. Neck, pits, kidney and groin areas are it. Keep these warm and your hole body will stay that much warmer!
Also one of those body suit sleeping bag style warmers where you are inside it on stand. That would be perfect! Change your socks once you are in and I highly doubt you'll get cold feet, or cold anything else for that matter!
