Arctic Shield Boot Insulators
I almost bought a set of these today, but decided to wait to hear from folks here..
These things are very lightweight, and I wonder how they can really help much in cold weather. Unlike Boot Blankets you can fold these up easily and put them in your pack. They are easy to put on and take off.. .question is, do they REALLY work? I have 800 gr Thinsulate boots but my feet get cold after and hour or so if the weather is under 30. I bought a big set of Rock Pac Boots, but they suck.. very very heavy and difficult to hike in.. bah.
So, I'm thinking this might be a great solution. I have everything else clovered.. great set of bibs and jacket - hand warmer thing with hot packs if necessary.. good head cover... but my feet get cold fast.
Other guys I hunt with work outdoors and are much tougher when it comes to staying still in the cold. I just can't do it. Will these do it? $50 is an expensive experiment.. want to be sure.
Thanks!
