Start her out with a nice .22 that fits her hand-either a semiauto like the Ruger or anold Colt Woodsman or possibly a medium frame revolver like the S&W K22. The main requirement is that it fit her hand, not be too large for her to grip correctly. Once she gets good, she can move up to a medium-frame .357, starting with .38 Spec, target ammo, then try some standard magnum loads. Or maybe she'd like a medium sized .45 ACP like one of the Kimbers......
