As much as I like buckshot, I would have to go with the muzzleloader. You don't have to unload it everyday, I unload my old sidelock about once a week if it's dry out. Thats another thing, if it's rainy, I would use the shotgun.

When you get the time, try out some different slugs with your 20 ga. Make sure you are using rifled slugs. I use federal 2 3/4" rifled slugs in mine. Make sure you use lock-tite on your scope screws or you'll be shooting off every few shots. Out of a remington 870, there will be at least one slug that shoots good. And the last most important thing about smooth bore shotguns shooting rifled slugs, USE AN IMPROVED or OPEN CHOKE TUBE. The tighter chokes screw up the accuracy of slugs.
