I would only expect a BH to deflect if it were a mechanical or a dull fixed blade.
I think that if onlythe point of 1 blade on a mechanical were to hit bone on the way in, then the opening action would throw the arrow sideways or change it's direction.

No proof of that, just my theory.

Mine have all gone straight through, but I shoot heavy shafts and fixed blades.
