Rib deflectioin
First off let me say i have greatly enjoyed reading everyones stories and looking at pictures of everybodies hunts. I'm in Japan for a year and missing this hunting season. I just got done reading the post from atlasman, "Magnus stinger destroyed by rib" and it got me thinking about the doe i shot 2 years ago, she was completely broadside and i hit her perfect but when i got to the arrow it stunk(gut hit) and i couldn't figure it out, there was very little blood trail and it was dark and if it was a gut hit i wanted to wait. so the next morningi continue thesearch and when i found her my entrance hole was right where i thought it should be but the exit hole was behind the ribs on the opposite side, while dressing her i found i only took out one lung and then it went through her guts. So do you all think a rib deflected the arrow or what? I shoot a Buckmaster G2 set at 70lbs with muzzy 3 blades and Easton A/C/C.
