All those are good ways to get the plug out I have put the barrel in a vise then put a wrench on the plug and hit the wrench with a hammer easy to break it loose. once you have it out wire brush the threads and put some antisieze compond on the theards every time you take it apart it makes it a lot easier the next time you pull the plug.Good luck with it Be SAFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
