Tossing someone out of deer camp????'s
O.K. guys I need some advice! This was the first year for our new deer camp. We invited a guy who has had problems at other deer camps and thrown out of 1 that I know of, and probably 2.
He was fairly good the whole week, a couple disagreements, 1 was staying out an area that was in between 3 other hunters and we left it alone as a safety factor, well he wanted too hunt it(and probably did). I told him no its a safety factor stay out, he argued with me for a while about it, then I told him to stay out plain and simple you dont like it thats too bad!!
Another time I was going to take the boat too hunt an area of the property thats only accessible by water. He told me no stay out of there, so and so is sitting the run where you park the boat its going to screw him up(this was at noon). I hunted another spot and didnt argue about it. When I came in at night guess who took the boat right where I was going about an hour after I left the camp.
On the last day of hunting we had 3 guys watching pastures that surround a beaver swamp and several slash cuts in the thick cedars. Well he travelled into where the beaver swamp was too watch a dam. About an hour before legal ended he started firing rounds into trees and also took a shot at a grouse(flying), this is with a centrefire rifle. At the time he was no farther than 500 yards from any of the guys who were watching the pastures. I told him shooting at the grouse was crazy, he said no that would have been a hell of a shot!!
I told him he screwed every guy that was watching the pastures, he said no I was trying to push the deer out of the thick stuff and if they didnt come out they werent there! I wasnt about to chirp in my .02 cents at the moment, he was getting hammered by 3 others at the time. But he still wouldnt see his major screw-up.
He is already making plans where he is hanging stands next year, also making plans to go up and vacation in the summer. I have 2 of my good friends(1 of them invited him) I hunt with every year that already said they will not go if he is there. Do I tell him now? should I wait a while? should I give him a second chance? Should I tell the guy who invited him to toss him? I dont mind a couple arguements it always happens at deer camps, but safety is major considerration and I cant afford for him to screwup!
