Missed a real trophy yesterday am
Yesterday morning about nine oclock while on stand a coyote came through. An early gun season is on and it appeared he might have been pushed because he was kind of sneaking through at a trot. I grabbed my bow and made a sound to stop him. He was about fifteen yards out headed straight away in some heavy under brush when I let fly. The arrow buried in the dirt about three inches to the right of his chest. I'll tell you he didn't leave at a trot!
Anyway, this was one beatiful coyote. Unlike any I've seen before and I already have one with my bow. This coyote was dark gray/charcoal colored. Looked like a miniature wolf(we don't have wolves in our area) and would have made a beatiful rug.
At least I got to see it.
Happy Hunting
