If I'm using my 06, rather than my .243, I shoot 150 gr. Winchester Super-X Power Points. They are quite accurate in my rifle. As someone did above, find what your rifle likes, and use those. Whitetails aren't hard to kill, especially with a .30 caliber round, IF you hit them in the rights spot. So, accuracy is far more important than bullet weight.
