I'd keep my shots at 50 yards or less. You will have a lot of people talk about shooting deer at 100 yards with buckshot, and it will kill them that far, but safe range is closer than that.
Good answer! I do the same. Before I started using a Patternmaster choke, I kept my shots under 40 yards.
