Nope--no need to use another type sealer. If you get a realy bad scuff that goes through the finish, you might want to touch it up with clear nail polish. When we find out the new finish is going to work (I am pretty sure it will), I plan on using it exclusively. I have it on my td Crusader, and the bird's-eye bocote shows up great under it. It's not a frost type finish, just lightly textured. Still very clear.
