RE: Sunset Lake
Well, anybody living in central-Illinois knows how crappy the weather was yesterday. And if you're not from the area, it was miserable! I don't think a half dozen fish were even seen. Cloudy, rainy, and cold, which always slows down fish movement. So nothing to add to the fish-count. But it was a great maiden-voyage for Bulzeye and his new one-man-rig. It sure looked like it worked great. He was flyin all over that little lake out there. That boat is going to be fantastic for smaller-calmer bodies of water.Just perfect for the backwater areas we frequent.
Also got to visit with Kendall and Christine at their place. That was a blast. You can definetly tell there are 2 avid archers living in that house. It looked like an archery shop! And of course we were shooting in the yard. (I think I found my dream-longbow that I've been hoping to find).
I'm really looking forward to going back out there, to both Christine and Kendall's, and to Sunset. With a little more sun, I think we could definetly make a big dent in the carp-population out there. The people were really nice and welcoming and the lake was small enough to feel plenty safe in the small boats and canoes we were using, and big enough so that we weren't all right on top of each other. We'll make sure everyone is aware of when we're going out there next.
