I got a question. Tell me of the 06 users how many chuck 220 or even 200 gr bullets? I know many guys who use this caliber and most commonly chuck 180 gr at big game and 150 grain at deer. Most of the guys that like chucking the 200 grainers opt for magnums or big guns suchs as 300 or 338's.
If you say i use 150-180 grain bullets, ain't nothing an 06 will do that the 7 rem mag won't do better(numbers show this). That being said they will both still kill the game, it's opinion and preference.
If you want to chuck the big lead, leave the 06 on the shelf and go with a biggun...not just b/c it fires 30 cal bullets that will afford you 220gr bullet...but no real advantages over 175 gr 7 rem mag or 180 gr 06'. Just my lame a$$ opinion.
