If I were you, I would just go to a shop somewhere--shoot some different bows--they will have several in your price range--they will let you shoot them and set you all up. Cabelas and Gander Mt are a couple of pretty good places--or try your local smaller shop as well. I bought all new this year and I got a real nice package for about 575. Get your self a good case too so nothing gets wrecked when you put it in the back of your vehicle.

I know Fred bear has a good entry level bow that is new this year-- a buddy of mine just got it and it shoots real nice--it is called the Element. I thin they are 300 or so-with a package you can be set up for 425 plus arrows, release and case--500 to 525 would be a close guess with everything you need. -Get some decent Camo too!!
