LOL @ Ghermy!

I sat last night and thought about this topic! I was thinking, what do I *really* think about when I'm out here!

Most of the time I find myself saying, "Deer, or DEER!!! Where are you, don't you want to come out and play?" Seriously, most of my thoughts are about what looks like a deer in the set aside field. Half of the time I find myself staring at something, thinking it's a deer, only to find out it's a bunch of weeds swaying in the breeze. It's sooooo hard to pick out the deer in those tall weeds, they could walk 40 yards in front of me and I'd never see 'em half the time! I laughed at myself last night because I notice the exact same "deer weeds" everytime I'm out, so last night, I just started calling them deer. LOL I said, Oh look, that deer hasn't moved in a week! Then I literally started counting the "deer weeds" out there, just because I had nothing better to do! People can get so corny sometimes.

I also am paranoid now that I'm gonna miss one coming through the woods behind me, due to Sunday's hunt. Dang buck snuck up behind me, no snaps, no crunches... heard one lil' crunch, looked to see if it was the elusive ground hog I've been trying to arrow for three years now... nope. It was a deer! Sheesh... he was one step past my shooting lane at about 10-15 yards. I coulda shot at his hindquarters, but it wouldn't have done me any good. So now I hear a leaf fall from a tree and I'm turning around...
