Scope / Bore Sighting ????? (Way Off)
OK, I recently purchased a Bushnell Banner 3x9 scope w/ bullet drop compensator for my 50 Caliber Inline.
I hadit mounted and bores sighted at Gander Mountain.
I finally had it out yesterday and at 100 yards nothing on a 100 yard sighting target. I shot 6 shots, two aimed dead center, 1 aimed on each side of target and not a mark.
I then proceded to 50 yards and the bullet hit the tree I had the target mounted on below the paper and to the right. I added 50 yards to the drop compensator and it brought it up 6 inches on the target, while I was at 50 yards. I added 50 yards to it again and not a mark on the target from 50 yards.
My question is this:
Am I doing something wrong or do I need to take the gun back to Gander Mountain and have them resight it at their cost?
