That really isn't that rare. I've seen "bachelor" groups with asmany as 12-14 bucks and also 3-4 does in the same group. This year, on several occasions, I have witnessed a doe, running with a 2 1/2 yr. old 6 point and a nice 140ish 10 pt. that is at least 4 1/2. While they certainly are more apt to run with members of their own sex, as well as deer in their own age class this time of year, it just isn't always the case. I don'tknow that their is any particularthing that causes this.
