Default RE: Question regarding "tightness"

Ive seen a lot of posts where people are complaining about their omegas not hitting worth a .. well you know.. And after looking on cabelas, its written right there that the omega is designed for shooting sabots. It sucks when you buy an expensive gun like that and live in a state where you can not use sabots and you are stuck with a gun that wont shoot anything else. My Winchester x-150 wont shoot cheap shots for crap. Its a powerbelt/ conical rifle as i found out. It will shoot those cheap $9.99 buffalo ball-ets really good tho! And the part about the tc omega being amazingly accurate is total BS. You can own a rifle that shoots awesome, hand it over to your friend and it probably wouldnt do good for him. Experience and if you can hold that gun steady and aim the same on every shot is what makes a gun accurate. My ex girl friend was a crack shot after i taught her how to properly hold, squeeze and aim the rifle. My step brothers on the other hand, after TRYING to teach them, still have better luck with hitting a target with a rock than a bullet lol. As for the tightness of the bore, i have an old roger raglin hunting video and hes using a white rifle with 460 grain something conical and the ramrods weight pushes it down the barrel. So im not a big beliver in the tight barrel gives it better accuracy. I belive its all in the depth of the rifling. Actually its a proven fact that its all about the depth of the rifling, thats why some old side locks need a thicker patch to tighten up the groups while others need a thinner patch. I dont really care who says what is more accurate or who has the most advertising. Years ago it was all about cva and their advertising. Now its TC. You advertise more, you're going to attract more customers, thats the name of the game. The rifle dont sell itself, all the advertising does. Doesnt matter if its a $100 rifle or a $600 rifle, if its accurate and you like it, use it.
