Sounds like you are anchoring to high up on your face from where you normally do. What helps me is centering the pin in the peep as I normally do. To tell you the truth, I actually would like to be able to take all my hunting shots sitting down. Much less movement. Only shots that you can't take, are to the right for a right handed archer, and of course, directly behind you. Anything to my left, straight out, or even a little to the right is getting shot sitting down.
