This very thing happend to a hunting buddy of mine just last week. In a three day doe season he had (what he called) the biggest 8 pt he had ever seen stand under his tree and make a scrape. He said the deer was within spitten distance for at least 15 minutes. He started throwing sticks a him to get him to move off in hopes a doe would come down the trail. He did not shoot a doe in the three days. I ask him if he thought about it and he said " I thought about how big he will be next year. I think he made the right choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
