In some spots spooking deer is a problem so I will lower my bow down and make noise on the ground with it. In some areas it doesn't matter. Deer are always coming and going. Infact during one morning hunt I had to get down and go to work to make a meeting. I had two groups of 6 does and fawns beneath me 10 yards from the tree. I lowered my bow, slide down the tree, packed up my stand, and took off my hunting clothes to be ready to go into the office. Those deer never moved. The watched me the whole time from 10 yards away and I just walked off.
