Last year I met a guy at a 3D shoot who had a Mathews. We were both early so we drank our coffee and shot at the practice bails. After I heard his bow fire I knew I would never buy one.

With limb savers, doinker stabilizer and string whiskers it was among the loudest bows I have ever heard. There may have been something wrong with it (loose accessories or cracked limb ????) but Mathews bows are also expensive and ugly.

My ultimate bow is a Hoyt ... to each his own. All of the high end bows out there are good and I couldn't find one that had any real point of difference until I tried the Hoyt Protec.

Browning makes an excellent bow also. Maybe you should check out the new ones.
