Well, my biggest reason for not liking Mathews is the devoted following of dumb !@#es that shoot them(I am not in anyway saying that everyone that shoots a Mathews is a dumb!!#). I use to work at a Pro Shop and I would have these Jo Schmo smucks that didn't know their @## from a hole in the ground come in and harp to me about how Mathews was the best bow on the market blah blah blah! Of course none of them could tell you why they were so great "but that's what their buddy said, duh huh". So that is my biggest pet peave. After that their lack of speed and draw length adjustment. Also, I personally never felt they were any quieter(if as quiet) nor vibration free than some of the other bows on the market. Myself never having been one to jump on the bandwagon, I never could bring myself to cross over to the "dark side". As far as their pricing and quality goes I think they are right in line with the rest of the market. The Q2 is the closet they have come to meeting my specs so far. I just like a little more speed(it's a hang-up what can I say<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>).
SideNote: for those that might say I am on the BowTech bandwagon. I ordered my first BowTech and started touting BowTech immediately after the 2001 SHOT Show in New Orleans(Jan 2001). So, I was a BowTech fan when being a BowTech fan wasn't cool<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> It is cool to get in on the "ground level" and then see everyone else start to realize what you have known all along. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
