IMO he's not respecting the work you have done in preperation for the season. I thinkit would be better ifyouAND your dad talked to him. There are other fieldswhere he can shoot at. There's no reason why he can't go shootthere. I don't think he will scare the deer off. I think they will change bedding area's and hit the field after dark.
2 years ago I did some shooting out to 300 yards with my 243 off and on all summer and early fall. I would squeeze off a few shots and use my 4 wheeler to set drop off and pick up a card board box witha target stapled on it. On opening morning or rifle season. I drove my truck the 300 yards off the road up against the timber, and then walked on in to where I was hunting at. 1/2 hour later a really nice 8 point stepped out into a wheat field. I blew that shot because of buck fever. My point is that buck didn't care about me shooting a rifle all summer and early fall not very far from where he was staying.
