Default RE: SlickTrick Broadhead failure? (pics & long)

Well, I have checked with Slick Trick dealers across the country about how Slick Tricks have performed and whether there is a deflection problem. Dealers tell me they are concerned about Slick Tricks. Concerned that they might be changed so that they don't perform as they do. I have yet to speak to a dealer who was not pleased with Slick Trick performance. When told that a guy had questioned that Slick Tricks had a deflection problem they all said it was not so. I value dealers judgment above all others because they are close to the action of many bowhunters, and they feel, like me, a responsibility to the animals and to the preservation of the sport. Plus, they must know if a head performs well or the next year they will have ordered lots of product they can't sell and they can't afford that. I can tell you lots of dealers ordered a few packs of Slick Tricks this year because they said they would not sell a head they had not used themselves successfully. They have reported back that they will be stocking up on Slick Tricks next year. They tell me Slick Tricks penetrate in the same manner as Muzzy or other heads and that there is no penetration problem peculiar to Slick Tricks. What they do quiz me on is when I will have a 125. I am working on 125 manufacturing, and hope, notice I said hope, to have it out by June. So, my advice is to shoot whatever head you feel good about. My dealers tell me they feel good about Slick Tricks because of their pinpoint accuracy, and because if they do happen to get a marginal hit the very large holes give them a recovery edge over other heads. Happy hunting to all, the Owl
