Default RE: Availability of bucks 125+

Very good points both of you. Here in southwestern Iowa we are blessed with a LOT of deer. And the hunters around here complain that they are all button bucks and does. But somebody had to breed those does to make the button bucks. I believe some hunters, not all, just go do their 40 hour a week thing and never think about hunting until the night before opening day. Then they get out there and expect to just hang a stand over a deer run and Godzilla will walk right up to them. I believe we have become so "instant gratification" oriented because of modern technology that we get bored if we don't bag "grandpa" 10 minutes after we get into the woods. I agree with you guys. There are plenty of nice bucks out there. You just have to do your homework. Being a recovering alcoholic, let me quote the "Big Book". "Half measures availed us nothing"
