About a month ago my father and I picked up a couple of used bows, a reflex bighorn and a pse nova. We figured that these would be good enough to try out the sport, ive been shotgunnin since i was 5 or 6 but i never picked up a bow til then. we started shootin, and everyone was suprised how well we were shootin for a couple of guys that dont know anything, and it started to become pretty enjoyable.
the pse had to long of a draw length on it for me so we picked up a reflex highlander, and i really like it(compared to the pse). i was shooting about 4 in groups at 20yds. with it. But i really want to get out into the woods this fall, my fathers boss is going to take my dad out huntin and show him a few things, but we dont really know to much about deer hunting, or if I will even attempt a deer for a while, but i do know i want to try to shoot a turkey this spring.
So im just pretty well wondering if I got a good set up goin, do you need experience shooting from a treestand, and what are some good shooting tips, one thing i would really like to do is to try to take a turkey this fall, and if i do get a deer in my comfort zone where i feel i can make a good ethicle shot should i take it??
