This is an informal observation but bear with me: I went to the Local Bass Pro Shop on Saturday(deer opener) and looked at their ammunition racks: Basically they had a ton of 30/30,243,308,270,30-06,7 rem mag,300 win mag from different manufacturers. 2 boxes of 300 Ultramags a few boxes of 338's(Remington mfg), 375 h&H,375Ultra and tons of 270 wsm,7wsm,300 wsm and even ballistic tip 270 wsm(Remington mfg). Folks whether you like them or not are not this class of cartridges is not going away anytime soon. No 7 saum or 300 saum anywhere in the store.
