RE: SxS or O/U ??
I agree with riverotter. Its personal preference and advantages to both as DM stated with a little faster reloads. One thing I have noticed on the SxS's I've shot are they do have a little more felt recoil. The forstock's are typically a little smaller which in turn makes thema little lighter. Also if you shoot a SxS several times in a row you will want to invest in a good shooting glove for your forward hand. Being the forstocks are typically smaller you do getgood bitmore contact with a hot barrel! As for shooting they do throw up a little differently but as far as shooting they are much alike in feel. I also agree with DM on the fact of finding a good"older" used one. They are made better and feel better than these newer cheaper made models that the everyday hunter/shooter can afford.
I personally perfer the o/u's due to the selection of models that are out and the fact they do have a little less felt recoil. But again its personal preference. Shoot both and make a decision. I will say that when you get out of the truck with that SxS you will draw some looks! You don't see them everyday like the auto's and o/u's.
