It sure can! Just make sure you put it upwind from you and at least 20 yards or so. The first thing a buck will do is circle downwind from it , so use that to your advantage.
Caution!! During the rut , if the buck gets by you without presenting a shot , you can kiss your target goodbye!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Been there , done that , I had a 3pc 3d target when I set it up , and ended up with about a 12pc pile of crap after the buck charged him<img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> It was worth the price of the target just watching the whole thing unravel. The buck circled down wind from the target just inside of 20 yards , but he stepped up his pace and went thru my shooting lanes too fast. I let down my bow just in time to see the hair on his neck stand straight up before he charged my target head on. I wish I could have caught it on video.
