I agree with Frank.

Hoyt Razortec
Darton Avalanche (new model with CPS Extreme cam- I might own one of these)
Bowtech dually-Patriot (I just may own one of these as well)
Mathews? I don't know what's new for them.
PSE? I don't know enough about their models.
Merlin? Love them to death but have no idea if they are coming out with something new for 2003. PW12? Any hints for me to hang on?

Trends? Well I think Hoyt is providing the marketing for the trend that has been coming, and the road that Darton has forged quite a few years ago. And that trend is to start moving away from the single-cam technology, to a hybrid system, or back to dual cams. Not sure what Mathews is going to do about that- after all their "dual cams are history" blah blah for years, they certainly can't come out with a dual cam bow without looking like total idiots.

You'll see more developments in shock absorbing items. I know Darton is incorporating some of Martins riser dampeners in some of their new models. Bowtech Vibrablock is something I'd like to try out as well.

But like PW12 said- until we see the whole playing field for 2003, we won't get the complete picture. Isn't it fun to guess though? The next couple of years will be VERY interesting to see how things progress, and how the archery consumers will react. Here we now have Hoyt, a MAJOR player in archery departing from ALL their single cam designs for the new cam system. And I'm sure Mathews will stick with what's been working for them, which is ALL single cam technology. Instead of the big dogs running together, now we start to see them running in slightly different directions......
