Default first timer!

This year i have access to 126 acres of land. I have decided to plant some food plots on the land to see what i cant bring in and hopfully hold. The surrounding land is all pasture for cattle, with two alfalfa fields to the North and South of the land. The land that i am on has pretty much everything that the deer need. We have about the best ponds in the area that they frequent and plenty of cover for them to bed. Right now they use our land as a way between the alfalfa fields, but i want to get some resident deer to stay on our land and hold a small herd of them.

I live in just north of Springfield, Missouri and wanted to know what would be good to plant.

I have enough clover, chickory, and alfalfa to plant a 1/4 acre plot. there will me more plots planted along with this one, but want to know what a good late season plot would be?

If you have any questions for me jsut ask and i will try to answer them.

Steve
