Default RE: Back tension-Core archery

i shoot 2 finger bt releases, and i can't explain why, but the stan is inconsistant. sometimes it won't go off, and sometimes it goes off as i'm drawing. i've got about 5 others and none of them are this way. like i said, it doesn't seem possible to me, but its true. it doesn't use the half moon others use, and i think the new design needs some work. your coach may tell you i'm just crazy - but i can execute a truball ultra 2, scott longhorn 2, scott longhorn 4 cut down to a 2 (best bt release ever), and any other you could find for me.

if you get a chance, attend one of larry's schools. its nice to get the book in person as well as some personalized instruction. also, take your time. its taken me a long time to get it. took rickjames 6 months of constant practice. took me 18 months, but only 6 of constant shooting.

as soon as you can shoot a 3 finger get a 2 finger - it'll keep you from learning bad habitsand ensure you're actually using back tension. that's from larry in person.

most of all - relax!
