No thanks needed, I chose to enlist for the same reasons. Sounds like you are off to a good start, it takes LOTS of practice to shoot well unsupported at 25 yards with any handgun and stance. I have the chance to shoot almost every day which helps, even 15 or 20 mins. is better than nothing.
