Stubble - The gun has never been in a gun carrier on a 4 wheeler. I'd also strongly advise against not using a Kolpin gun boot. My buddy and I we were hunting Nebraska 2 years ago and he made it 3 miles with his before his brand new Burris scope crosshairs went sideways/busted. Good thing I was packing mine the way that you described, before the hunt he was tryin to talk me into getting a gunboot, and I decided that the 80 some dollars would be better in fuel for the trip.
The problem with my scope came after I changed from CCI Mini Mags to the cheap Federal ammo found at Wally World. So, I can just shim it? Or do you guys think its the scope?
