I need some info on a old shotgun. It has the following on the side of the gun :
Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Co.
Browning Pats. Oct 9,1900 Dec 17,1901 Sept 30, 1902 June 16, 1903
Serial # 174023
It is a 12ga. with a full choke and a vent ribbed barrel.
It looks just like a browning humpback.
I have the following Questions
Is it safe to shoot 2 3/4" shells and could i shoot steel shot?
Could anyone help me with the model number and what is the value( the gun is well worn with little blueing left).
