Default RE: decoy

The funny part of the story is that every time the buck got in line with cardboard decoy he thought it was gone, so he would come back around and see it form the side.
I recently bought a Montana(similar to Renzo) doe decoy , I was wondering about the side view situation . It seemed to me that you would have to place it where the approaching deer could only come to it from 90 degrees or so . I have a spot at my place that would be ideal for that , and it's right in front of my favorite ground blind .
