Default RE: draw-loc. anyone know anything about them?

My father in law uses one - He has to load the bow with his foot. He also uses a stablizing device that hooks to his wrist and on a belt around his waist to help him hold the bow steady for a shot. Its a neat little hinged device that "locks in" solid when his bow is up at the proper height. Without it he could never hold any bow at arm's length - say nothing about drawing the bow back.

Draw loc has its place - and he shoots targets well enough - but in 4 years - he's yet to take a deer with it - its a cumbersome setup at best - and his especially - given his severe arthritis & pinned wrists. He has a very very tough time getting situated for a shot without alerting the deer. We've tried our best to work with in the laws of NY for him - butright now - we'd liketo see crossbows legalized in some fashion for severly impaired hunters (not just quadrpalegics like it is in NY now).
