I have been out in the worst weather you can imagine, so bad that I had to keep knocking off the ice that was building up on my arrow while I had the bow on my lap. The biscuit never froze and I believe made even less of a sound when drawn due to residual moisture on the arrow shaft.
Yeah yeah.. I know... WHISPER SOFT adn QUIET. Which by the way, I've never knew when I drew my bow. Why... it's amazing. It's ... well... why... its.... quieter than a Whisker Bisquit.[8D] OH, I forgot, Muzzy. I've seen more threads on here about people trying to quiet the WB, Trimming, cutting and still complaining of noise. YET, through every one of these threads the WB loyals or pushers still say it's the quietest thing going, it must be installed wrong, or you're using the wrong arrows or something. AND... in another month someone esle will come in with "How can I quiet my WB"? I don't care if Billy Bob has hunted in the artic circle with a WB and it was whisper quiet, we're going to get another thread from about every other WB newbie wanting to know how he can quiet his WB..... and someone will tell him it's installed wrong, or he's using the wrong arrow, or they've hunted since WWII and never had a sound from theirs. It never fails to happen, it will again. If it's making noise throw the damn thing in the trash can, OR... sell it back to Billy Bob.
And just as may will be on here asking how to quiet down there drop aways or how to adjust them or how to make the springs stiffer, or whyam I havingfletching contact....etc....
No rest is perfect, and I never said it was the "quietest thing going"All I am trying to say is I have not experienced any excessive noise from my rest even in the harshest conditions. I believe, if set up correctly with the correct size opening to the arrows you are shootingthe new style Biscuit (brown with black bottom bristles) will be PLENTY quiet right out of the box without having to add anything to it.
After it'sset up there is nothing to adjust...even if your string creeps, you don't have to fiddle with it or replace mole skin, no moving parts to break or freeze, plenty accurate for all hunting situations, contains the arrow at all times even with multiple draws and slow let downs, sturdy and reliable.....no brainer.
