Got my new White M97 Ultra today!!!
I got my new white today and Im very pleased. I got all three nipples and the 209 nipple does have the flat front to whoever commented about not getting a crud ring when shooting with it. I also got some tubes of the larger grain powerstar sabots because I have the 320s and these are longer in length. I got some tubes of the powerpunch bullets too. I did the front sight test and sure enough i pushed mine out without almost any pressure. Before i did this I looked at the dovetail compared to the blade. There was space showing and a gap. When I did take it out I turned it around and it fit tighter and the dovetail and blade aligned with no gaps. It is still a little loose but some loctite should take care of it. I read the manual and it originally called for pyrodex P as a propellent. I have almost a whole pound, so I might try it since this rifle design was developed using it. I know it will be dirty and foul, but thats the key to shooting this rifle. It calls for a fouling shot(squib load), so pyrodex should do it. I need to use up the powder anyhow. I dont know which nipple I should try first. What have you other guys been using. I know they were originally set up for #11 caps. I noticed mine was made in september of 2003. Did anyone else notice when theirs was made on the inspecton sheet? Now if I can get to the range.
