I do not hunt bedding areas, I try to avoid them.
If you want to locate them find out where they feed and follow trails from the feed to the beds. Usually the thicker areas are used for bedding.Keep inmind that they may not sleep in the same exact spot every day especially when the rut kicks in. If you enter the bedroom to much they will relocate, so be carefull. Focus on funnels to his bed instead of his bed.
I would suggest only hunting close to the beds as a last ditch effort to get him.
