Welcome to the forums, when it comes to hunting deer some people find it easyer to use a treestand while others like the ground blind better you just have to find what works best for you.
Now when comes to bow's with so many brands out there you gotta get there and shop shop shop.
Go to your local pro shop or Bass Pro even Cabela's for that matter and put one in your hand and shoot it, if it feel good to ya then buy it.
Spoting and stalking is a good way to hunt whitetail just remember you gotta have patience, this type of hunting is a slow process.
As you lightly walk thru the woods you gotta look at everthing for the slightist movement, taking a few steps here trying to be as quiet with every step.
