Only thing you can hunt as a canadian resident are over the counter whitetail and black bear - without an outfitter. The seasons vary based on where you want to hunt. In the forest areas the season is a min of 4 weeks (usually all of november for canadian residents rifle). Therest of the province is subject to a 1 week/6 day (monday thru sat - no sunday hunting here yet!)Canadian resdient rifle season - typically the last week of november. As to size we don't weigh our animals as a general rule out west but250LBS areaon the hoofis a reasonable expectation fora whitetail buck in Sask. I have seen many that would tipthe 300 markon the hoof as well.
