not commenting on the hogs and deer being together but if someone is saying the hog trap itself is scaring off deer....i'd call BS. deer get use to things in their area. they may be spooked the first couple of days but then curosity sets in and they'll walk up to it. i have put wooden ladder stands up and left them over the season and in one instance had a buck start rubbing his antlers on one of the 2x4 legs. the trap itself doesn't effect the deer. now the hogs might. i know hogs will chase off deer that come into the area while they are feeding.
